So much for transparency.

Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

Read: We are taking over private enterprise whether you like it or not. The financial meltdown has put the American public in the mood for someone to police Americans and others who wish to do business here, and we will grab the baton.

I'm sure they'll reference the Commerce Clause in support of this power grab. WAKE UP PEOPLE, THEY HAVE NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.
