Just a few ideas for recycling ordinary things for re-use in a bug out bag.

Camel Snus Can - Great little metal can, just the right size to make kits out of (sewing, first aid, fishing). If you know anyone that uses snus and throws these away, grab as many as you can.

Sewing Machine Bobbins - These are great for storing fishing line on, wind it on and secure with a small rubber band. These are small enough to fit 2 or 3 in a kit.

Prescription Medicine Bottles - I would suggest removing the label. These make great storage for AA & AAA batteries as well as bic lighters, sewing needles, fishing hooks and pocket knives. You can also store aspirin, vitamins, ant-acids.

Just a few thoughts, there are lots of things we just throw away that can be re-used.

When it all goes down we will all need to think outside the box.
